The View from My Classroom

It’s snowing today, and the snow is so beautiful that the blistering cold does not bother me as much (at least when I’m inside my cozy 67.5-degree classroom). Students are taking a test so I have most of the day to write in relative silence before the storm of grading hits. Today I’m working on my academic book and am about to get started on a paper I’m giving at the Shifting Frontiers in Late Antiquity conference next month.

This is my first blog post. To those of you who have subscribed, thank you for your interest in reading my work! I plan to use this blog as a newsletter to update my followers on my books, so don’t expect to see posts super frequently. If you hesitated to subscribe because you don’t like a lot of email notifications, I wouldn’t worry too much about that. You can expect some exciting news about my middle grade/early YA historical fantasy Breaking the Silence pretty soon, though!
